European School Sports Day® (ESSD) is a pan-European initiative aimed at promoting sport and physical activity to improve health internationally, while engaging as many children, youth, schools, and organizations as possible in physical activity programs.

ESSD has been organized annually since 2015, with a growing number of participating countries and students. In 2021, it reached over 3 million children in more than 9,000 schools across 41 countries on 4 continents.

The association KINEZIS, as the project coordinator for Bosnia and Herzegovina, encourages physical education teachers at all educational levels to participate in celebrating the European School Sports Day by organizing school sports competitions. ESSD is traditionally marked on the last Friday of September. Teachers can register their schools by completing the form here: https://www.essd.eu/hr/registration-15/

After registration, teachers organize sports competitions and workshops in their schools to celebrate ESSD. Upon completion, teachers should submit a report on the number of children who participated in the activities. Afterwards, they will receive a certificate of participation and join this global initiative.
