As part of the 10th Mostar Run Weekend, the 4K charity race aims to bring together children, parents, and the entire community!
The association Zdrav život – Kinezis, within the framework of the 10th Mostar Run Weekend, which will take place from March 20–22, 2026, issues a public call to all primary and secondary schools in the City of Mostar to join a special humanitarian project that combines education, art, movement, and togetherness – the 4K charity race under the slogan: Run, walk, cheer, take part, and support your school!
The 4K charity race will be held on March 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM. EVERYONE is invited to run, walk, cheer, or support schools and their work in any way.
The project is carried out with the aim of encouraging healthy habits among children and young people, strengthening school communities, and creating a more humane and connected city in which solidarity and care for education are a shared responsibility.
Charity races at the Mostar Run Weekend have been organized since 2019 and throughout these years have focused on associations, initiatives, and institutions that make society better through their quiet and dedicated work, yet often remain outside the public spotlight.
This year, the focus is on education, with a clear desire to provide children in Mostar’s schools with better conditions for learning and development.
The goal of this year’s race is to support the education system, especially visual arts, music, and sports. These are areas that foster creativity, empathy, discipline, and a sense of community, yet they most often lack sufficient support, despite being crucial for healthy and fulfilling growth.
“When children run for their school, they are not just running toward the finish line, but toward a sense of belonging and the support of the entire community,” say the organizers and volunteers of the 4K charity race.
Funds raised through the 4K charity race at this year’s Mostar Run Weekend will be directed to primary and secondary schools in Mostar.
Why participate?
• children develop creativity, self-confidence, and healthy lifestyle habits
• schools receive concrete support to improve teaching in music, visual arts, and sports
• stronger connections are built between schools, parents, and the local community
• the race becomes a life lesson in solidarity, health, and responsibility
Who can participate and how?
Students, parents, teachers, friends of schools, and all citizens of the City of Mostar can take part in the race by registering for the 4K charity race under the name of their school and running or walking in support of that school.
The registration fee is 30 KM. A portion of the funds collected through registration fees is directly linked to the registered schools. The more runners and supporters, the greater the support for the school.
Schools will actively participate in the activities of the Mostar Run Weekend through creative work with children, including events such as the 10th ROLLA Mostar Half Marathon.
A race accessible to everyone
The charity race is 4 kilometers long and intended for everyone – participants may run or walk at an easy pace. What matters is being part of the team chosen during registration, whether as a runner, walker, or supporter. We invite all citizens of the City of Mostar to support this project – Run, walk, cheer, take part, and support your school!
