Institute for Public Health FBiH joins forces with “NGO Marathon” and “KINEZIS” for a healthier future

Based on the signed agreements, collaboration between the Institute and the associations will be developed and improved to raise awareness and inform the public about research on physical activity levels among various populations in BiH, promotion of the importance of physical activity, prevention of health risk factors, and promotion of healthy lifestyles among the population.

The agreements foresee, among other things, the joint organization of community promotional events about the importance of physical activity for public health, marking internationally significant dates such as the International Day of Physical Activity, World Sports Day, and World Running Day, cooperation in preparing research activities, joint organization of thematic expert meetings and educational workshops, and the production of publications and creative promotional materials.

“Considering that the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the leading institution in the field of public health, we are pleased to start this collaboration. Our missions align closely, and we believe that joint initiatives will further motivate citizens to adopt healthy and active lifestyles, thereby improving their physical and mental health. We sincerely look forward to the activities ahead with the goal of building a healthier and more active community together,” said Elvedin Tunović, Head of the Sports Segment at “NGO Marathon.”

The president of the “Healthy Life – KINEZIS” association, Prof. Dr. Franjo Lovrić, also expressed satisfaction with the signed agreement.

“The agreement with the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina enables us to contribute to the health and quality of life of citizens, especially the most vulnerable groups, through joint projects and cooperation. Our goal is to create a healthier and higher-quality living environment for all. We hope that through this collaboration, research, and new projects, we will further promote the importance of physical activity for health and encourage our community to live more actively. Through joint efforts, we aim to raise awareness about the positive effects of physical activity on health and make it more accessible to everyone. Our association believes that it is the responsibility of every individual to contribute to the betterment of the community. This agreement confirms our commitment to that mission, as we believe we can achieve long-term improvements in the health and living conditions of our fellow citizens,” said Prof. Lovrić.
